A Write & a Pint is a London-based creative writing community, rooted in a spirit of mutual care, compassion, and encouragement.
We host in pubs, with food and drink, as we believe creativity thrives best in a comfortable space, where we can blend literary craft with the age-old tradition of gathering to tell stories, share ideas, and inspiration.
We like to create a space for creative enquiry — where fiction, poetry, memoir, screenwriting, and philosophy intersect.
Where you can write not just for the page, but for your life, for your stories to connect with purpose, meaning, and the wider human experience.
What We Do
For the past 10+ years, we've been hosting workshops on how to write fiction, memoir, poetry, and screenplays, but also on themes, such as love, shame, friendship, spirit and soul, forgiveness, the language of witness, music and sound, and many more.
